a mediocre sorrow
nags and eats away
at the entrails of my ravaged soul,
endlessly meanders
through the marrow of my bones,
&
lets itself out
in an accusing sigh
of boredom and ennui..
a long unfelt rage
gnaws away like mice,
at the remaining fragments
of the last
embers of my faithless trust,
and withdraws sullenly
in a dull and melencholy
resemblence
of resentment and guilt.

Invite for Contribution
Dear Friends,
Now here is a blog, that i hope will be with a difference.
I want to dedicate this blog to all the nameless, voiceless and oppressed peoples of the world. I want to dedicate this blog to all those who are waging a gallent and ardous struggle in order to make this world a better place to live. All who believe in the possibility of a world that is free of hate, prejudice and exploitation are invited to join.
You may be a poet, an actor, a performer, a philosopher, a student, a mechanic, a sculpture, a cook, an environmentalist, a journalist, an intellectual, a literary critic, a social scientist, a film buff, an unemployed youth, a rape victim, a victim of domestic violence, a revolutionary, an honest mainstream politican, a grass root political or social activist, a feminist, an anthropologist, gay, dalit, eunuch, a lawyer, a film superstar, a film extra...a very succesfull writer, painter or artist.. ..or a failure...whoever you are , if you believe that you can contribute to this blog then this blog is for you. All you need is a belief that despite our varied occupations and achievement, we are all tied together in the web that is called life and what affects one also affects all. In short, if you really believe, and i mean really really believe that "humanity is our homeland", then this blog is for you!!
Obviously, you must believe in the fundamental principals of democracy, secularism and tolerance. You must be a seeker of diversity in unity and of unity in diversity. You must hate oppression & exploitation in all forms - whether it emanates out of a person (in interpersonal relations) or out of a systemic structure. You must not only "feel" but also "be" allied in the struggle of the weak and powerless. No one said it better than Che and i quote, "If you tremble indignation at every injustice" then this blog is for you.
You can contribute articles, poems, skits, sketches, photograps..whatever.In so far as your postings represent a search for truth and justice and are directed against injustice and oppression..this is the blog for you. This blog aims at being a meeting point and a melting pot for all who have something to say about the world and how it could be made a better place, not only for the human species but also for the non-human, to live and flourish. Hence "Ensemble". Ensemble represents a site where progressive and radical discourses will find , whatever the mode of its expression, a voice. It is to enable networking and alliances. It is to enable sharing of ideas. It is for enabling the fostering of creativity and art in the daily grind of the weak and the oppressed. It is to enable the building of solidarity and abiding friendships. It is to enable just governance and not just good governance. It is for empowering the disempowered. It is for the purpose of fostering a silent and profund revolution. It not only aims at world peace in the "long run", but believes in such a possibility within our own lifetime. It believes, not only in the possibility of building a paradise on this earth, but also of revealing it. It believes in the possibility of building a just and harmonous world-order through a process of dialogue, discourse and struggle. It believes in the possibility, the conditionality and the unconditionality of love.
Ensemble then is a platform for waging a two-fold struggle in the realm of ideas, politics and the politics of ideas. Firstly, it is a platform to wage a struggle "against" an existing reality of injustice , oppression, exploitation , deceit and betrayel - whether in the social or in the personal realm. Secondly, it is a platform to wage a struggle "for" bringing into the world new ways of being and doing. It is a site for building a vision of a world where "free and full development of each" becomes a condition for the "free and full development of all".
So, if you share this vision, join "Ensamble".Share your ideas on how best we can give shape to this blog. Be a part of this community.Help build it brick by brick. Make it your own.
